What was the crowd's reception when Edmonds came up to bat?

Mostly boos with some cheers when he took the field, faint applause for his first at-bat.

It sounded like quite a bit of applause before his fist at bat to me.

NL pitchers as a whole:

.148 .187 .192

Cubs pitchers (before today):

.186 .195 .279

Any position where you can get an extra 95 points of OPS is a good position in your lineup.

hmm gotta figure milwaukee and St louis' pitchers hitting in the 8 spot if ou're gonna make that statement.

How in the world do people keep throwing fastballs down the middle to Soriano on the first pitch?

Soriano is an awful matchup for Maddux, because Soriano can hit strikes, and Maddux doesn't often waste pitches.

90% cheers.

And some fans were standing and cheering.

Not those of us in Internet-land, Bruce...oh no....not us... :P

Honestly, the gay jokes are tiring. Can we put a stop to them now?

That wasn't the worst possible outcome from Theriot. Got a run in. I'll take it.

Actually that was a good outcome.

That one gets a 7.8 on the Edmonds Joke Scale.
