If it's any consolation, the Rox have taken the lead back from the Cards 4-3

Pineiro's out of the game already, Villone's in, the Rox have a runner on 2nd with only 1 out

Mike Fontenot single handedly loses the game. Derrek Lee becomes an official member of the Cobs. Keeping Aramis off the DL is like keeping your ex girlfriend in your 5 just in case things dont work out with the new guy.

I guess we'll blow them out tommorow and lose by a pair wednesday, and hopefully the day off Thursday can end this crapfest cycle.

In hate this team.

Go Rockies.

Maybe this will be like the opposite of last year, we start off with a great april and then dwindle away into nothingness by the end of the season.

You guys need to stop complaining about a missed call at the plate. The ball beat the runner. Like Bob said, the runner will be out 99 times out of 100 in those situations. That's just the way it is. It is how baseball has been played for 100 years. Deal with it.

Methinks instead of complaining about a bad call, people should be complaining about the horrible baserunning.

Lets recap all the breaks the Cubs got:

1. Griffey robs Pie

2. BS calls at 2nd, home, and first

3. Ward hits the ball about as hard as possible and makes an out.

That's the condensed version.

unbelievable....

I'm not freaking out yet, but these are some really tough losses

the cubs have been getting more people on base than their opponents. the reds basically did nothing on offense all night except for a couple of innings when they were helped by cubs' errors. the cubs have been leaving a lot of guys on base lately. plus one of the best hitters on the team has been out of the lineup.

the cubs will be fine. it's just a rough patch with poor luck, similar to the rough start to the year last year, but the cubs have more of a cushion after winning a lot in april.

No surprises there. The Rockies are a better team than the Cardinals.

Hey, if we have Cedeno playing, Fontenot isn't there to screw up defensively and on the basepaths.

And he comes up in the 9th with the bases loaded and 1 out.

GOD FORBID WE PLAY CEDENO, RIGHT LOU?!?

To be fair, the rally would never have started without Fontenot.

to be fair he gave them three of their runs. what did we lose by again?

Bye Fontenot.

Error in the 1st.

Out at home in the 9th (Yes he should have been safe but the ball beat him by a mile)

He blew the game for us tonight. It should have been a 1 run game with 1 out and Lee at bat. Oh and if he didn't make that error Cubs win tonight.

DFA or send him to Iowa.

Geaux Cubs.

I'm not going to lose it yet, but we're going to be down 8.5 if this keeps up. You know STL is going to win tonight's game.

That's right.. I was thinking about Pie's bad luck lineout to deep right as well.
