Wait, why isn't Marmol starting?

I mean, if we are going to bust his arm early, might as well use it against the Cards.

Seriously, what the hell Lou? What the hell does Cedeño need to do to get one freaking start while he's OPSing over 1.000?

Johnson's the one who really is a problem.

At least with Fontenot, he has the fact that he's hot and that Wellemeyer has had pretty big splits the last year and a half.

With Johnson, Pie is playing better offensively lately, is better defensively, and the splits work in Pie's favor. There is no justification for starting Reed tonight.

There is no justification however for Ronny to not start in a week.

He's old.

I'm adding Reed Johnson to my "wish to get hurt" list, despite the fact that he's an adequate player.

As always, I'm willing to accept karma giving me the exact same injury as whatever befalls him that keeps him out of the lineup.

This is probably about some asinine thing like Cedeno not getting bunts down in batting practice or some hideous thing like that.

I don't even blame Piniella. His boss needs to sit him down and explain to him how to tell the difference between good and bad ballplayers, becuase he doesn't get it. Unfortunately, I think his boss doesn't either.

Sure are a lot of dissatified Cub fans and they say Phillie fans are tough.

Makes you wonder what this board would be like if the team was 12 and 18 versus 18 and 12.

Cubs are the most talented team in the division and it's not close. Doesn't mean they aren't doing things stupidly.

We are dissatisfied because of out manager. If you can justify some of his moves of late Id like to hear. Sitting Pie against rightys, not starting Cedeno, and allowing Marmol to pitch twice this week in blowouts, but not in a extra inning game Friday just to name a few.

Cardinals sent down Anthony Reyes today and called up pitcher Mike Parisi, who is scheduled to start in Colorado. Apparently Wainwright is being pushed back a day, and Piniero has had back stiffness.

Guys we can't scew the stats to our advantage unless Pie sits against crappy righties. He will start again when we face a pitcher like Sheets or Wainwright. It's like we did with Karros and Choi.

He's the one who hired both Baker and Piniella, so no.
