My dream scenario invloves Cuban buying the Cubs and then cutting Theriot immediately. The guy is so less than league average it isn't even funny. Yet, everyone with the cubs thinks he is the answer.

It's ridiculous. It's not like I even dislike Theriot. I actually like him. But I don't like him as a starting SS.

 

He's a nice option as a cheap backup infielder. A refreshing change from the Ramon Martinezes and Neifis of the world. But that's where it should end.
