It's gotta be a QB...Dixon? Brennan?

Booty or Johnson, I hope we don't even touch Dixon or Brennan with a 10 foot pole.

dixon, no. i wouldn't be upset with brennan, though.

Reverse this for me. Brennan really brings nothing to the table.

i think dixon's release is the worst thing i've ever seen. i don't think he projects as a qb at all. then again, brennan's release isn't a thing of beauty, either.

I'd be worried about Brennan throwing a 10 yard cross in a 5 mph breeze.

Drafted a freakin Safety, ok so are they going QB with this next pick?

I'm going to laugh when one outlandish draft grader gives the Bears an F because they failed to pick a QB. I don't blame the Bears for not drafting one with the lot thats out there.

Is this safety meant to be a replacement for Chris Harris, who was I think a 6th round pick, who was traded for a 5th round pick?

I didn't give em an F, and I'm not gonna deny it, I'm a really impatient Bears fan and get happy when they draft QB's :) LOL.

I guess they know what they are doing since there are a couple of decent QB's left that they can pick with one of their next few picks. I'd like Booty or Johnson, and I guess I could live with Brennan but it wouldn't be ideal.

The Bears are obviously trading down to get a bunch of picks and trying to accumulate somre roster talent. Steltz should be a solid special teamer and be able to step in at safety if needed on occasion.

Angelo and Lovie know they are going to be competing on defense and ST again this year. Why not try to acquire as many good football players as possible and let guys fight it out for roster spots and special teams duty. I think next years team will be just as bad offensively but we should have some battle back in us on defense/ST again.

What's the point of even getting a QB at this point? Gimme a Guard, another OL and another athlete and I'd be happy.

Meh on Steltz. Good size at safety, but isn't very physical. Well, he'll stick his nose in there, but not a guy that's gonna strike fear in WRs going over the middle. Not very fast. Not a good man-to-man coverer. Be a decent fit in the cover-2 though. Is somewhat of a ball-hawk. Not the most instinctual safety though. If he can put himself in the right position in the cover-2, he's a solid backup safety.

i thought steltz was rather physical.

He looks more physical than he is. At 6'1", 210lbs, I expect a thumper. He's far from that. Again, he' won't shy away from contact, but he's not an Adam Archuleta type hitter.

Using players we know as Bears fans.....he's similar to Chris Harris in speed, coverage ability, and instincts. Probably a surer tackler than DManning, but similar lack of thump when making a hit.

haha, Adam sure hits hard, but he was terrible last year.

yeah, I'm nt sure Ive ever seen a bigtime AA hit.

Steltz is a sure tackler, nothing flashy. he's a good run support SS. he's value was probably where we drafted him, in the late 4th. ts hard to argue the call, but I do think there was better value out there

He was over matched every single time he covered a receiver, he's just bad, and he's one of "Lovie's Guys" from St. Louis. Is he still on the roster?

I like both Charles Godfrey and Dan Connor, but it'd be nice if someone could tell Marty Hurney that Delhomme should not stay in Carolina past 08 and Matt Moore is not the future.

Dixon, Booty, 10 foot pole?

read the first 2 names very fast together.

Reminds me of when the Dolphins had Cox and Beavers at linebacker.
