I'm not sure who had the better draft. Steelers or Chiefs?

Chiefs have had a lot of picks, Steelers have had two absolute steals in those slots IMO.

Steelers have what on some people's boards were the top WR and RB. I think OL, ILB, and CB were bigger needs, but they definitely brought in the most talent (along with Dallas) of the playoff teams from last year.

time to build the hype....I guess

reminds me abit of Robert Smith from the vikings

That's exactly who he reminds me of too. Maybe a little slower, but similar running style and slightly tougher.

I dont remember how fast Smith was, but Forte ran a 4.46 at the combine..and the way he snakes through holes and uses his vision is a mirror of Smith

Wasn't Smith a world-class sprinter?

could have been, but I dont remember

Yeah he was, that's why I said Forte was a little slower. That kinda sounds like I'm being an a-hole, but I'm not trying to be.

Didn't take it that way. I was responding more to Minnesotacubsfan, who seemed to be unsure if Smith really was faster. (I might have misread that, though.)

oo, no. I was just giving Fortes 40 yrd #'s as a benchmark since I dont remember Smith's.

Anyone think Mario Manningham might be a nice 2nd day pick for the Bears? I realize his combine wasn't great, and the marijuana thing didn't help him, but he might be the most explosive 2nd day receiver.

They said the same thing about David Terrell too.

Except Terrell was picked in the top 10, Manningham would be in the third round.

Right, but I had to get a jab at Michigan WR's in there somewhere.

Packers on the clock. Come on Martellus Bennett.

If you're going to rip on Michigan WRs, at least find a recent one...like Braylon Edwards.

Wow Brohm.

I never got the impression that teams looked at what other teams were doing this much in the NFL draft. I don't remember this many runs on positions (OL, CB, WR) and this many trades because teams are so well in tuned to what other teams will do. Nor have I seen so many passing on a need because a run hasn't started on them yet. Very fun draft today.

Meh. For #56 overall, I guess Brohm isn't too bad.

Bennett still better be there at 60.

isnt Brohm abit of Aaron Rogers redux? west coast QB? or am i mixing him up w/someone else?

Brohm's best fit is in a west coast scheme. So yeah, he sorta is.

chad henne to the fins

And the Panthers officially will not have a QB in this draft. With Delhomme in the last year of his contract. And no legitimate backup.

I hate my team.
