Stupid pick.

I still don't see Al Davis passing on McFadden.

He's all about specimen type players. No way he passes on McFadden. Things are looking better and better for the Saints trading up for Dorsey.

The guy on ESPN, not the Count Chocula looking one but the other one, was saying that it was because all 4 of his main receivers were under 6 feet tall.

No surprise there. Al Davis is still an idiot.

This is where the draft's going to get interesting.

I'm not sure it's a bad pick at all. I don't think with the top a team should pick based on need, and McFadden is the wow player in this draft.

I like this pick. Bush and Fargas are nice running backs, but I don't think they're franchise type guys.

As for the current pick, as others have said I think it will - and should - be Dorsey.

Mort just referred to Russell as being in the "embryonic" stage developing as a QB. Haven't heard that word used in that context before.

I think Fargas was 2nd or 3rd in the NFL in rushing yards the final 8 games of last season. He's young and he's a very good back. Yet Davis takes McFadden instead of solidifying your front seven by taking a guy like Dorsey. I don't think it's a good fit for Oakland, but we'll see.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Saints trade up here.

the draft seems to be going much faster this year

It's 10 minutes per pick instead of 15. It really does make a big difference because now you have the two minutes to discuss the last pick, a minute or two for commercials, they come back and spend a couple minutes discussing who should be the next pick, and then it's almost ready to go, instead of previous years where they had to add 5 extra minutes of filler between each pick.
