Prince is unreasonably fat. He looks 50 pounds heavier than he did last year.

The best part about that is that he's supposedly a vegetarian now. Must be eating lots of mashed potatoes.

On a completely unrelated matter with the lefty Schoenweis coming in to face Fontenot. I am calling Murton pinch hitting for Pie. Howry warming up in the pen.

i just wanted to clear up my position is all. dusty and hendry are definitely to blame for the ballclubs that they either assembled or managed while dusty was here.

Yep, and I wonder had Hendry seen more of Fukudome if he would have pursued him.

The Cubs had been scouting Fukudome for years. It's not like he just fell into their laps.

Yeah but he was a masher there. Had they thought he wouldn't mash here would they have wanted him?

I've said all along the Brewers are a mid-80s win team, because their bullpen and defense really are that bad. As a stathead, I almost even hate saying that, but it's true.

They really don't look good. And you have to think Braun and Hart and those guys who blew up last year and going to recede a bit to more realistic numbers. I said at the beginning of the year we'd win the division by at least 5 games, and I feel even stronger about that now.

Six saves for Gagne this year with four blown saves.

He probably doesn't realize that gravy isn't a vegetable.

Like you said, keeping Gagne as the closeer only helps the Cubs.

Did Gagne get out of the inning without giving up the tie?
