Wilco, so basically your saying since we arent making personnel decicisons for the Cubs we shouldnt express our opinions? Ok whats the point of this board?

To kill time.

The game's far from over at 7-1 in the 6th. Something's gotta be bothering him.

Why, are the Cubs planning on putting Ted Lilly in?

To prove how smart we are so that the new owner might notice our baseball skillz and offer a job in the front office, of course.

How long should we keep Marquis out there? The bullpen definitely could use some rest, do we trot him out even if he goes above 100 this inning>?

Frankly, the only part of the bullpen that's been overworked recently are Carlos Marmol and Kerry Wood.

They might as well let the bullpen go the rest of the way if the Cubs are serious about keeping Marquis in the rotation. It's still April and there's no need to over-extend Marquis yet.

I'd like to see three innings of Marshall.

Yeah, just don't go against the popular opinion on this board.

I agree with the person who said "to waste time."

But also-I'm not saying you shouldn't express your opinion. I'm saying that it really doesn't serve a purpose to root against a player based on what you think he is likely to do when he has performed above the highest expectations of either him or his backup for most of the season thus far.

Like I wrote earlier, I REALLY wish they would have gotten a better player than Theriot in the offseason. I blame Jim Hendry for being stupid and not understanding the value of going after a guy like, for example, Khalil Greene (whether or not he was even available). However, now that the season has started, it doesn't make sense to me to constantly write about the "black hole" that Theriot is in the lineup when he simply hasn't been that thus far.

Will he revert to what he was last year? Stats say he probably will, but I would really prefer that he doesn't so I will continue to root for him to succeed and not use every one of his at bats to criticize him for things he hasn't even done yet this season.

did mlb already lighten up on their blackout restrictions? i'm watching this game on mlb.tv, and saturday day games are always blacked out.

I'd like to see Wuertz get somebody out.
