That was just a heart wrenching game!!!!! I was already skating around my living room with the Stanley Cup raised above my head. OSGOOD, COVER THE POST.

If Pittsburgh somehow wins this series I will be shocked. You cannot be consistently outplayed like they have been and win a series, can you?

Fell asleep during the 2nd OT intermission and watched the 3rd OT this morning. That was intense. Detroit dominated. The end of the 3rd period was great I was really hoping Pittsburgh would extend the series and I'm looking forward to game 6. Being in that city during the Cubs series was a lot of fun to see all the excitement surrounding the Pens.

Hindsight being 20-20, I wonder if the Wings kept the pressure they had in the Penguins zone and didn't just dump the puck if that would have worked out better. Sometime when you have somebody on their heels like Pitt was, it's better to keep that pressure on. IMo, it got the Penguins more aggressive by dumping.

I was shocked that Detroit didn't win the game last night, whether that was in regulation or overtime. They just had so many chances and Pittsburgh had so few, it was ridiculous. I think that Detroit should win the series but then again, they should have won last night so who knows.

I watched the game at my friend's house last night on his HD feed and you could barely hear the announcers. Anyone else have that problem?

Pretty good game. I'd really love to see this series go seven.

At specific times, yes, especially late in the third.

I don't think this series will end well, but that was one of the most exciting games I've ever watched. Detroit is an incredible team but this Pens team just won't say die. All I can think about now is that 5-3 on Saturday. Oh well, hopefully we can get a seventh game where anything can happen. Either way, this young team has really been exceptional.

You definitely can. It just takes a goalie that's on fire.

this is fun, therrien and babcock are apparently trying to out-whine each other when it comes to the officiating. which i don't think has been bad at all, by the way, at least in this round.

What to do? I can't determine if I have more hatred for whiny arse Pittsburgh fans who thinks this is titletown, USA but refuse to admit the Pirates exist or that the Pens have been horrible for the most part of 15 years.....or all things Detroit, especially the Red Wings, aka the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL. I've found myself rooting for the Pens, because I love the good young players. But at this point I don't care who wins.

Pens should all slap themselves in the face for blowing that 5-on-3 in Game 4, at home. They'd be in the driver's seat right now. Also, it would help if Malkin could remove his head from his proverbial anus.

I'm predicting, and hoping, for a Pittsburgh win tonight so we get a Game 7. After that, I don't care who wins.

As far as an actual score, I'll go with 4-2. Regardless of who wins, I'm hoping that this one is over in regulation since I'll be leaving for San Francisco around 8 so if the game goes into OT, I'll have to miss it.

Down 1-0, Pitt's got a 5-on-3 for 1:30. Gotta get something here.

At least this time they actually got some shots on goal. The Red Wings power play defense has been incredibly good.

Ridiculously soft second goal from Detroit. Fleury should have blocked that rebound with no issues. 2-0 Detroit.

Malkin finally gets one on a power play to cut the lead to 2-1. Pittsburgh REALLY needed that one.

Wow. So unlucky for the Penguins there.
