Great game. The offense was able to bail out Marquis and Howry, even without Soriano and Ramirez. Once those 2 get moving, we should be in great shape.

Agreed. With Fuku and Soto shaping up to have good seasons and Lee already coming around, we could be in for some shootouts this year. If Lou ever realizes we have better SP options in the bullpen and Iowa, the rotation could even be reliable too.

Reed Johnson is 1/2 with that hit being a home run against Brandon Backe. Thats likely why.

 

I would bet it has more to do with the way the offense "clicked" today with Johnson in the 2 hole and how miserable it looked in the first 4 games with Pie in CF.

 

For the record, I want Pie to start in CF everyday.
