Prince looked like he was acting there. Getting hit in the ribcage does hurt, but that ball looked like it barely glanced off of him.

It looked as if it hit him in the lower ribs though, those ribs are weaker than the upper ribs and getting hit there does hurt, so I think it wasn't too ridiculous. Although you would think his fat would be enough padding.

I hate Ryan Braun. Also, what is Lou doing? He's managing like Dusty for sure. Glad we can have a double-switch in the 5th inning.

lou is one of those managers who makes the best of decisions at all times. why in the world is hart in instead of lieber? also, why would you bring in a player who has just as good a chance of getting a hit as hart to be the new 9 hitter in the 5th inning.

this move looks like lou knows how little the offense is capable of.

Let's take out the guy who hit a gapper double, not our 1 for 7 short stop piece of suckageness.

The point of the switch was to allow Hart to stay in the game an extra inning without batting. This wouldn't have happened if they switched out Theriot.

Please don't confuse that as me saying the switch was anything other than stupid.

I know people are sick of hearing it...but...ho much better would this lineup look with DeRo at SS, Roberts at 2B and leading off, Fuku batting second, and Soriano batting 5th. The Cubs never like doing things that make sense.

Roberts (2B)

Fukudome (RF)

Lee (1B)

Ramirez (3B)

Soriano (LF)

DeRosa (SS)

Soto ©

Pie (CF)

or swap Pie and Soto. Either way, that lineup is damn good.

Yeah, but how many players do we need to give MacPhail to get the job done? I heard the last offer was Gallegher, Ceda, Veal and Cedeno, which is more than fair.

that might be how the game would start, but by the fifth, it'd be

roberts

fukudome

lee

ramirez

soriano

pitcher

soto

pie

fontenot

that looks far less threatening

One more reason to hate Hendry/Lou.

If you carry 12 pitchers, you don't need to worry about double switches so much. Take Hart out and let one of the other 7 relievers pitch the next inning.
