Hate Milwaukee? No way. As Chicago suburbs go, it's not in the top 10 but it's OK.

Awesome. I hate Milwaukee, the city is a POS. Their fans are annoying and unrealistic. However, once Fielder, Braun, and Hart leave for better money they'll be back to worthless for another 18 seasons until they scrounge a winning season again. Then their fans will be back...

Diehard Brewer fans are just as clueless as casual Cub fans. They think every minor leaguer they have will be an All-Star, and rarely follow the other teams in the division.

:rotfl:

Are you laughing or crying? You'll be good for a few years, but you have to know Fielder, Braun and Hart are all history once they reach free agency, and probably before.

That's why I don't hate the Brewers. They'll never sustain success like the Cardinals.

Fielder, probably. Only because of Boras. Hart, I would put money on him staying long term. The Brewers have already talked about a long term extension for Braun. This isn't the $40 million payroll Brewers, plus you can't assume there won't be more new talent coming to replace possible loses considering how well the Brewers have drafted and developed under Executive of Year Jack Zduriencik. Sure, they can't keep everyone, but don't kid yourself into thinking they are all gone soon.

In other words, i'm laughing.

your handle makes me think of "Dazed and Confused"

Do you currently go to Marquette? I graduate this May.

Maybe, but it Braun puts up numbers like he did in 2007 for the next few years, someone is going to give him more than the Brewers. Now I know the crew doesn't have a tiny payroll, but they don't have a big one, either.

As for a Braun extension, I am sure they'll look into signing him through his arby years, but unless he has a bad sophomore slump, I can't see him signing for any of his FA years anytime soon.

I would like the Brewers a lot better if they got rid of those crappy jerseys and went back to the old MB ones permanently. Their current uniforms are horrendous.

You sound a little like my sister. Seriously, what do uniforms have to do with whether or not you like a team? I can see expressing a preference for certain Cubs unis, because we like them no matter what, but as a deciding factor? I don't understand.

Yes, I go to Marquette.

This sums up the Brewers fan base in one comment. "Prince has nothing to whine about, he got paid what everyone else did." -From a DIEHARD Brewer fan that somehow happened to acquire my friendship.

Yes, please continue to use a set scale when paying your players. They will only get out of town quicker.

This season is it for Milwaukee, do or die. After this players will start to be traded, sorry your state can't handle a team other than the Packers.

Well, there's two things you have to consider here.

1. I don't dislike the Brewers, so it's hardly a deciding factor in anything. Just something that bugs me.

2. I think it's logical to dislike the fact that a team chooses to use uniforms and a logo that looks terribly ugly, when their old uniforms are one of the best.

That's good stuff.

I think the newer Brewers digs look a lot more professional and appealing than the stuff they used to wear.

The majority of teams do this.

When the Brewers were in the AL they were my favorite AL team with the Cubs being my favorite NL team. The Cubs are my number 1 now with the Brewers a distant 2. It's hard with them in the same division, but I don't hate them. Too many good memories going back to Hank Aaron, Harveys Wallbangers, etc. And if there isn't a Cub game on, I love listening to Ueker call a game.

I really really really like their players. I also think Gord Ash is one of the best FO guys in baseball. Conversely, they have one of the worst managers. I want them to lose every game, but I definitely don't hate them.

They're not supposed to look professional and appealing. They represent the city of Milwaukee.

Bob Uecker is a God, but like the rest of North Illinois, the Brewers can go to hell.

I like Jim Powell a lot beter to be honest. Not as many seemingly drunken ramblings.

starting to hate them.

"I can guarantee you," one Brewers player said before the game, "that the Cubs don't enjoy playing us."

really? because they went 9-6 against you last year, which i'm guessing was pretty enjoyable.

I'm not going to guarantee it b/c the Brewers won the game, but I'm betting we'll be seeing a bench clearer between the two teams at some point. Weeks looked plenty pissed at his second beaning. There will be some payback on Wednesday.

There was a group of fat, white trash Brewer fans in our section yesterday talking trash all game. After the win, they were particularly annoying. So, we obviously asked them who won the division last year, gave them crap about blowing a 10 game lead, etc..

Their brilliant response?

At least we haven't gone 100 years since we last won the World Series.

I go: At least our franchise has won the world series and actually been able to support a team for that long.

His response: The Braves won in the 1950s, so we've only been waiting 54 years.

Apparently since the White Sox won in 2005, Cubs fans can now claim that championship as their own as well.

[expletive] Wisconsinites...this could be the year that the hatred really kicks in.
