I'd love to hear a reputable source confirm... but I'm feeling a lot better right now.

I think the fact that ESPN 1000 and WGN radio are both reporting it that it's a done deal.

Hey, I am a reputable source.

Is the 4/50 confirmed? If so, then I am very very pleased.

In response to your lineup in the other thread

Roberts

Fukudome

Lee

Ramirez

Soriano

Soto

Theriot

Pie

I would do that too but isn't Piniella still going to leave Soriano in leadoff? That'd be great if he moved down though. Soto would give him protection. :D

If we got Roberts, I think they might move him down. Me having DeRosa at SS was wishful thinking, but I'd still love to see it.

No. Levine is pretty solid.

and the other Bruce is superb, also.

IS it Gonna be Kosuke or Fukudome? Why would it be his first name?

That's how Ichiro does it.

The Matsui's don't do they?

Ichiro did it because when he first broke through in Japan, there were 3 other Suzukis on his team. That just stuck. Kosuke was told to use his first name by Alex Ochoa.

The Padres were informed Tuesday that they're out of the bidding for Kosuke Fukudome.

Fukudome didn't announce his decision, but it's believed that he'll pick the Cubs over the Padres, White Sox and Rangers. If the Padres had signed Fukudome, they probably would have gone with Scott Hairston and/or Chase Headley in left field. Now they'll again focus on landing two outfielders, with Mike Cameron and Geoff Jenkins among the possibilities.

Eh, Levine has definitely been somewhat of a whipping boy on here. Most people don't grant him a whole lot of credibility because he reported that a big move was near in 05 or 06 and nothing ever happened.

Not that I agree with that sentiment, though, but Truffle was probably thinking of the right guy.
