I watched the game, and the loss is inexcusable and unforgiveable. They had the game under control, but let Northwestern back in the game due to a total boneheaded coaching call that anybod that follows college football would know better than to make. When you have a redshirt freshman coming into the game at quarterback cold on 3rd-and 6 you ABSOLUTELY DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ask him to pass. You run the ball and if necessary punt and play defense. The result was so predictable; interception, touchdown Northwestern, and they're back in the game. That one call could well wind up costing the Hoosiers the entire season. If that happens they should not under any circumstances consider Lynch for the permanent head coaching job. This is the same coach who led Ball State to consecutive seasons of 1-10 and 0-11, after all.

Also the Big Ten now has 10 bowl eligible teams. I cant wait until the Big Ten wins the National Title and Wins one of the Citrus or Outback bowls against the SEC

Ok. But when it does there will be a lot of college fb fans in this country who will have to eat crow.

 

Also after thinking about the Illinois non-fumble. You cannot review a play that the ref has ruled down. I forgot that rule. I think that is why they should rule them all fumbles and let the replay sort it out.

No there won't. Ohio State will get absolutely destroyed by LSU in the national title game if they make it there.

 

 

The reason I would give LSU a advantage in that game is because it will be a home game for them. Not because they are a better team. They also wouldnt win by more than a TD. I also dont think they are going to make it.

LSU is a better team, they are going to make it, and they will win by 20 or more. You did watch last year's title game right? Ohio State is a worse team than the one that got their asses handed to them that day.

 

While I don't disagree, I think NUN's point is valid. Every major bowl game the Big 10 plays is a road game for them, and basically a home game for the opposition by virtue of the location of the games.

what does Kansas have to do to make the title game. It seems like going undefeated may not be enough.

 

Beating Mizzou and OU in back-to-back weeks would be enough to propel them in there.

 

Illinois winning this game would be all kinds of awesome, probably bigger than Gabbert committing today.
