Illiniguy, what do you think about Brook Lopez? Top 5 pick, yeah?

Should be. I guess it depends on need for each team. But he is very, very good. I hink he will have an adjustment period though because of his lack of bulk. I also like your boy, Westbrook. He already has NBA size for the point guard.

The problem with playing Gordon and Hughes together is there just aren't enough basketballs for the both of them.

Kirk Hinrich has certainly improved since his rookie year. He's taken a significant step back this season from his second, third and fourth seasons in the NBA.

Has he improved or has he just got more minutes and developed a rep, getting him more foul calls? He handles the ball a lot better than he did in college. But I think every other facet of his game has either regressed, or stayed the same.

He averaged 35.6 minutes his rookie year which is also his career average so he hasn't gotten that many more minutes. He's added as many as 4.6 PPG more than his rookie year, dropped his TO/G by as much as 0.4 and has an increased his FG% by as much as .62%. In all 3 categories, he's still better this season than he was his rookie year. His APG has dropped steadily (but not too drastically) from his rookie year on. I wish I could get his PER numbers from before this season.

Well his assists should go down this year. We have no inside scorer. Gordon has slumped. Deng has missed a lot of time. I guess the main thing that hurts Hinrich is the other guys in the draft being so good. Sucks we got the pick we did that year.

He's still having his worst year since his rookie year. Of course so are Gordon and Deng.

In terms of that draft, it did suck picking that low. At least it wasn't a case of Roy or Aldrige vs. Thomas. Hinrich was the best pick that year (ignoring trading possibilites, of course).

At that time yeah. But I sure would rather have David West or Josh Howard now.

The thing that's always driven me nuts about him (Kirk) is consistency. And this could be one of those BS, observational evaluations like "hustle," and if it is, please call me on it. But he seems so hit or miss to me, and he seems like a guy where, if he misses his first 2 shots, you know he'll have a 2-10 night. Like I said, that's a BS, statistically invalid, incorrect observation. That's just how it feels.

I think he'd be better in a place where his scoring was "gravy." I also think it hurt him to be shuffled back and forth between 1-2. He's just doesn't have the skill-set to be a viable 2 IMO.

Thanks, soccer10k. I couldn't figure out their web site.

Confirms my supsicions, this is his worst season since his rookie year and he had his best season last year. Kirk certainly improved from his rookie year.

Boylan is terrible. I've pretty much lost almost all respect for Pax after letting this clown ruin the team. He doesn't have a clue, of course it doesn't help that nobody on this team can shoot.

And how about thos Suns? Just lost again. Kerr is such an idiot GM to make the trade for Shaq. What was he thinking? Shaq is old, and always hurt, a shell of his former self.

I don't really care that much about the playoff implications of this game, I just think it'd be hilarious if the Bulls managed to sweep these bums for the season.

Bulls beat Jazz 108-96. Therefore Hinrich > Deron Williams. Nuff said.

the bulls are so maddening. they need a coach.

More than likely, they'll follow up this stellar performance with a clunker.

It's pretty sad when it's March 11th and you haven't won three games in a row once this season. It's even sadder that the Bulls can be tied for 8th if Houston beats the Hawks tomorrow night.

the butt nuggets

Ya, my brother has lived in Denver for about 10 years and I've probably been to about 10-15 games of the Nuggets, so they are the closest thing to an NBA team that I root for. I'm not sure when I started calling them the butt Nuggets, but I have for some time.
