He was a bad man. Supposedly he lost to Ronnie Fields though in a high school dunk contest.

Look at this one.

i'm even more ashamed of my whiteness now. that boy has hops

he's canadian so it doesn't count.

gerald green does all those dunks, gets higher, and he got obliterated last night.

But he isn't white. That makes a big difference, just ask Brent Barry. Also, Green won a three point shoot out in high school, why the heck hasn't his game developed anymore than it has?

You've got me. You know how these kids can be, he probably just fell in love with his athleticism. Really, someone his size, with his athletic ability, should not be a 10th man on the Timberwolves.

I remember when he signed with OSU and I was terrified of having to go against him twice a year. Now it seems like he gets worse every year.

At the very least were I running the TWolves he would be playing in the DLeague. The kid needs to develop his game, you can't really do that by traveling and not practicing in the NBA.

I think he's a classic case of a kid who would have benefited from even one year of college.

If the Mavericks don't win it all this year or next year, this is going to end up to be a terrible deal for them. Harris is quickly becoming one of the better PG's in the league.

I don't think the Mavs win it all this year, I don't like the trade for them.

Completely agree. They were already behind the Suns, Spurs and Lakers in terms of championship contenders before the deal and they still are after the deal.

I can't blame the Mavs for going all-in. They're certainly close to the Finals. But I'd still take the three teams you listed before them (assuming somewhat healthy Shaq) and I really like Devin Harris. This is a gamble.

i think even with a healthy Shaq the Suns are worse than they were with Marion. Shaq does not fit into an up-tempo, fast-break style offense AT ALL

The mavs should have just resigned Nash two years ago.

Nash has been a free agent since he went to Phoenix? He left Dallas 4 years ago now. I would have resigned him then as well, but I don't think Nash would have been a 2 time MVP in Dallas either.

No, but it wouldn't have cost them a very good young point guard. Plus Nash is still a better player than Kidd. You can't just not guard Nash on the perimeter like you can Kidd. Damn it really has been 4 years. Huh.

alright that white guy would of won the slam dunk contest. the contest is such a joke now. do a lame dunk wearing a lame costume and win? actually howard didnt even get to the rim on that dunk, which is the funniest part.

....and if I was seeing it right, he took off from inside the foul line and still didn't make it to the hoop.

Lots of NBA guys get high enough to throw the ball down to the basket from a couple feet away. I don't get the hoop-la. I liked the candle blow-out better, personally.

How good is NBADraft.net with their mocks, especially at this time of the year?

(I ask because they have Russell Westbrook going at 10 to the Bulls. I guess I could see him going in the lottery...kid has all the athletic attributes the NBA would want. )

Relatively terrible. I do find their NBA comparisons hilarious though, since they try to find someone who looks like the guy more than someone who plays like that person.

i think the knicks hit a new low tonight.... they were down 72-36 at halftime... TO THE SIXERS. they turned the ball over 17 times in the first half and allowed something like 40 fast break points.

Lakers-Suns about to start on ESPN right now.

If the Lakers win this game they will win the season series over the Suns 3-1. The two teams would also be tied for first place in the Pacific Division if the Lakers win.

Bold statement of the day: Amare as a PF may be the best player in the league.

Good Lord, Chris Paul. Almost a points/assists/steals triple double tonight.
