I honestly think LSU may be the only team out there without a major flaw. USC doesn't have an apparent one, but something made them lose to Stanford ( I can't say that enough, Stanford beat USC  ). LSU struggled against Florida, but watching the game I didn't see any major flaw in their game.

That something was John David Booty and his 4 interceptions against the vaunted Stanford D.

Excellent point Raisin. Booty looked truly awful Saturday.

I really think he's playing himself out of definitely a high draft pick, if not a first rounder altogether.

Booty played majority of Stanford game with broken finger

Cut the guy some slack.

I didn't know that, thanks.

I wonder how much more a broken middle finger affects a QB than a broken pinky? I know both are substantial, but Erik Ainge hasn't looked even remotely close to that bad and he's had a broken pinky all season.

A broken middle finger is definitely a good explanation as to why he was so awful against Stanford.

Apparently all 4 picks came after the broken finger....and it is Stanford...so I think it played a big role.

I have no doubt it played a very large role. I was just thinking about how much more a broken middle finger would affect a QB than a broken pinky. I honestly have no idea.

I know none of you care about KU football, but I thought this pic was funny. It was the end of the game, and KU faked a linebacker blitz and just rushed 3 down linemen.

Look at how many of the three down linemen are in the backfield. Now look at K-State's line, and explain to me wtf they are doing.

I have it on good authority that Western Kentucky will probably win this game because Ball State's QB is going to be way too stoned to play.

I hope this is a joke post, our QB is basically all we've got at this point!

It is not.

The getting high all the time thing isn't new, so he'll probably be as effective as ever.

How the heck did you hear this? I'm Ball State student sports media and I couldn't have even guessed.

That offensive line looks more like one from NCAA 08 than real life. That's pitiful.

well, it's not the type of thing a coach issues a press release on.

It looks to me like one of the KSU OL is blocking another KSU OL.

It really does look like 63 and the guy to his right are blocking a third K-State lineman to open a hole for the Kansas defender.

Weird.

Los Angeles QB Infirmary:

John David Booty tested his broken finger by throwing but Mark Sanchez has gotten all the snaps with the first team in practice. It sounds like Pete Carroll is leaning towards starting Sanchez against Arizona, it would be the redshirt sophomore's first collegiate start.

Ben Olson underwent arthroscopic knee surgery yesterday and it revealed no further damage. He will be out at least 4 weeks.

Does that mean the McLeod kid (walk on freshman) will get the start those games? Or will Dorrell pull the kid off redshirt?

There's talk that Cowan might be ready for the Cal game (bye this weekend) but I don't think it's likely. Right now there's basically an open competition between the walk-on McLeod Bethel-Thompson, Osaar Rasshan (a spread/option QB who was converted to WR this season and is now back at QB) and Chris Forcier (the kid who's redshirting). So far none have distinguished themselves; I think we'll see Bethel-Thompson and Rasshan split duties against Cal.

I would think Dorrell will keep the redshirt on Forcier since Cowan should be ready for any game after the Cal game.

Seems to make sense. Can Rasshan throw the football with any skill at all? If he's even scholarship, seems like he'd be better than Bethel-Thompson.

He should be better. He's an avg passer - not great accuracy but he does have a very strong arm (he was up to 96 mph as a pitcher in HS). His ticket is his athleticisim and ability to run. I hope he gets all the playing time if Cowan can't start.

hooray for wolf's source supplying BS's QB his Orange Kush...so technically, his source could bet on a BS game Friday morning, tamper with the product Friday afternoon, and phase three = profit.

Yeah, Ball State's QB is a dick who doesn't care if you think he's a dick. He smokes ridiculous crap like that all the time. How he's avoided being kicked off the team is completely beyond the scope of my imagination.

He sounds pretty good if Dorrell is willing to run a spread option type offense when he's in. Certainly better than Bethel-Thompson I'd say.

The reason he didn't stay at QB is because he couldn't run the WCO in the past. Dorrell has mentioned going away from the WCO when Osaar is in the game but I don't know how true to it he will be. Osaar is definitely not accurate enough to be in the WCO, they'd be wise to exploit his athleticisism and strong arm but I don't trust Dorrell to do the right thing.
