It's a late couple of games, how are you preparing yourself to keep awake? Especially if you get up early for work, what kind of ritual are you doing? Edited by CuseCubFan69

I'll probably make it through about half the game. But I was falling asleep in the 12 inning on Monday night, and it was only a quarter to 11. I ain't got a chance.

Well, I wokeup at 6 am this morning for work, but cocaine is a hell of a drug, so I should be fine....joking. Honestly, I don't think I'll have any problems staying awake. I don't get to watch a Cubs playoff game very often. Sleep can wait until the weekend.

If I chose to stay awake, I wouldn't have a problem. But, I have be up at 6 am tomorrow and won't be able to be come back home until probably close to 8:30 tomorrow night...so I haven't yet decided if I want to stay up. I tape all the playoff games so I necessarily need to watch it all. Different story on Thursday...I don't have to wake up til 10:30/11 on Friday. Damn straight I'll watch that entire game.

I usually only get about 6 hours of sleep a night, and usually stay up until midnight CT, so it shouldn't be too big of a deal.

I don't sleep during Cubs playoff games. It's physically impossible. I'm absolutely getting beat down with assignments and newspaper stories this week but I wouldn't miss one second of this.

My kid has been waking up quite a bit, so I don't enter this with a wealth of sleep to draw on, but I'm going to try to make it with the help of some caffeine on the back end--to help me wake up. Hopefully with the Cubs up by 10 in the fourth inning, it will be easier to go to bed early if I need to. :D

I live in the same timezone. :)

I'm doing this too.

Actually - I'll be in the same time zone as the Cubs for all five games 8-)

Heh. I was going to ask where the option for, 'I live on the West Coast so the game is on early" was.

I actually get lucky today. I have to cover a HS soccer game at 4 which will give me a solid hour to drive home and write my article before the Cubs game starts at 7. Tomorrow night I won't be so lucky.

Yea, I'm going to have a problem tomorrow night as well, heading to the airport. I wonder if I can talk my mom into calling me every half inning with a summary of what just happened.

I have a volleyball match to cover at 6 and I'll be heading to the paper right after and then going straight to the airport. So yeah, I'll be calling my mom frequently.

Welcome to the good side.

I tend to stay up late anyway (just check the times of some of my posts). I'll take an early nap and have my coffee pot on. It's up to the Cubs to provide the excitement to keep me awake.
