I'm really sick of everyone telling me what's wrong with baseball.

Agreed to a certain extent but this one:

4. "We make it tough for you to watch your team play."

... is true and it is an outrage. I am sitting here tonight unable to watch the Pads-Rox playoff because TBS is blocked for Puerto Rico and no one can tell me why. I called my cable provider and they told me they had no idea, but gave me an email address for TBS. MLB better cut this crap out and soon or its going to turn off a whole legion of potential new fans.

It seems like greed getting in the way of common sense.

I thought I read MLB.tv was free for this game. So you should be able to watch the game on your computer

This one is ridiculous. I had a Cardinal friend get the MLB package on the internet only to find out that all the Card games are blacked out in Central Illinois. Which really sucks so the only time he can see them is when they are playing the Cubs or on Sunday Afternoons the local WB station carries them

the blackout rules are particularly stupid when the game isnt' actually on local stations. for example, FSN Pittsburgh only aired about 100 Pirates games, yet all 162 games are blacked out on mlb.tv for me. if the Cubs happen to be playing the Bucs in Pittsburgh during one of those 60ish games that aren't on FSN, i'm still blacked out (ie screwed)

Really, #7 is fans getting hurt at games?

How about paying soap dropping attention dbags. It's not a movie theater, its a sporting event. If you're there, pay attention. If you don't want to do that, go watch it at a bar or something.

I'm guessing the archaic blackout rules will be resolved within the next 5 years, but yeah they are absurd.

Wanna know why people are down on baseball so much? Becuase everyone from the commisioner to its announcers to the idiots that don't like the sport cause there's not enough "action" keep telling everyone how horrible it is and what's wrong with it.

It's articles like this that cause me to go on rants about hating football.

Through an economic view it was a good article, which makes for a good lesson plan.

I saw an article that said that all sports will someday go to PPV. This would be the downfall of MLB then

The blackout rule is absolutely ridiculous. I think most of the other items have a good rebuttal, even if it's the richer just getting richer.

Nobody at all benefits from the horrible blackout rules. If you are blacking out someone who is 3 1/2 hours away from a television carrying the gam, what's the point?

The national stations carrying the game locally lose ratings. Your MLB TV loses customers and fans don't get to watch baseball. Where's the sense in this?

I shed a tear every time I see WCIU on the Cubs schedule.
