Guys, I'll take back everything nasty I've said about you this past week if you clinch tonight.

Just win, baby. This lineup is neutered and our "ace" is on the hill. No reason not to win.

I was just looking at the webcam site of Wrigley. Is that fence always up?

Nope. Looks like they're expecting a few people to show up and party in the near future. :D

I like Kendall hitting second tonight, I don't like Floyd hitting cleanup. Hit Ramirez fourth, this isn't rocket science.

What about Kendall's numbers do you like, especially batting 2nd?

Soto should be starting.

Well, it could be that Kendall's career Ave/OBP/OPS against the Reds is .318/.408/.873.

Or he is .324/.398/.834 @ the GABP.

Or .310/.393/.791 career hitter in September.

I'll give Lou the benefit of the doubt on this one.

How about not worrying about last September or the September before that? How about looking at the awful September that he's had so far this year?

Yeah, you're right. Let's take the much smaller sample size so you can continue on with your rant. Enjoy your game, ace.

His 1.319 OPS hitting 2nd isn't bad either. Or maybe his .312/.346 line when there's a runner at first for him. Or maybe above anything else its the fact that he hits for a .929 OPS at the GAB.

Christ you people will complain about anything sometimes.

Last I checked a freakin .366 National League OBP was worthy of hitting 2nd but what do I know

Dunn and Griffey missing from the lineup and still I feel no confidence.

Anyone else catch how at the end of the Florida game, Len was ranting about being afraid of facing an "all-LH hitting" cincy OF of griffey, dunn and hamilton? Come on Len, read the news.

Cubs, I'm confident if you take care of business tonight, the Padres will take care of business on the other end.

You'll be drinkin' champagne

At this point of the year, it's more about the hot hand over career numbers. I'd go with Soto right now as well. Luckily Z has the quickest delivery to home, if they start Kendall with Lilly and Hill, the running game becomes that much more of an issue.

Also, this park is made for HR hitters.

Kendall is a smart hitter, and I like having smart hitters that don't strike out batting second. He's always done well in this stadium, and has good numbers off of Arroyo. Call it a hunch, but I think he's going to have a nice night at the plate.
