Geez could you imagine if the wind was blowing out on Monday in a 1 game playoff with Marquis pitching against Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder and co.
I would have no problem if the good Marquis showed up.

 

That's the thing, we know right away. When he's bad he's bad from inning one and usually lasts only a few. It's been his history for almost three years now.

 

When he's good he has shut down stuff. He just cannot seem to harness his stuff.

Marquis: 3 IP, 4 R, 3 ER, 6 H, 3 K, 2 BB, 55 pitches (35 strikes).

 

Marlins lead 4-3 after 3. Cardinals lead 1-0 in the top of the first.

Why not pitch around him with first base open and the P on deck?

 

marquis is perfectly capable of giving up a hit to the opposing pitcher

 

well any Cubs pitcher is

In two games this series, the Brewers' first four batters have combined for 7 first inning runs. I'd like to see that game reach teh second inning before I get terribly pumped, but still - Thanks, Pujols. I promise not to misspell your name tonight.
