They look complacent and impatient at the plate. I am by far not the only person to make this point. But yet I'm the bad guy.

But I digress......

I honest to God don't know how you can look complacent and impatient at the same time. But as I said previously in this thread, they've looked impatient all year, that's the type of offense they are. Piniella said it a week ago, that you're not going to change the type of team they are now, you want to change it, change it in the offseason, but don't be shocked that they're impatient in the losses, when they're impatient in the wins too.

I think they got homer-happy against Pitt, and figured today would just be a cakewalk and didn't even attempt to go up to the plate with any sort of plan.

Too bad Craigs first Cubs homer couldnt have actually meant something.

????

Cutting the deficit in half and finally bringing the team back into the game really doesn't mean anything. It certainly was no grand slam like Jeter would have hit. 1 extra run per calm eye.

That was awesome.

I really hope Len's right and Gonzalez tries to push Willis for a complete game.

At the corners with no one out for the Cards.

Yeah but Gimpy Albert is clogging first. I bet you that he is pissed that Skip couldn't score from second on that single to give him his 99th RBI

C'mon Soriano please do something. Please just please do something so we don't blow the division

What if when you die God looks at you and says, "know what? The Cubs never won because you put off so many negative vibes they choked under all that pressure."

heh.

That has to be it.

You seriously believe that?

Well not the best game of the season for Sori. I will take the optimistic view and say that he is trying to donate money to Project 3000

Do you see it in their eyes? Or can you read people's minds through the TV. You could be on Heroes!
