Found this in MLB PressPass. Found it mildly surprising.

ROUGHING UP ROOKIES: Rookie starting pitchers are 0-4 with an 8.31 ERA (24 ER/26.0 IP) in their last 6 games against the Cubs dating to August 9 in Colorado (Ubaldo Jimenez) – Chicago is 6-0 in those contests … rookie Troy Patton gets the start today for Houston.

The last time Chicago failed to win a game started by a rookie was July 21 vs. Arizona when the Cubs tagged Micah Owings for 2 runs in 4.0 innings, but lost, 3-2. ©

The last rookie starter to earn the win against the Cubs was Pittsburgh’s Shane Youman, who earned the 6-2 victory at PNC Park to close out the first half on July 8.

I'd bet my left leg that Monroe's arm is better than Jock's, and with his second hal, Jones should be starting against righties and lefties alike, so this outfield lineup makes pretty good sense to me. Well, other than the Monroe starting part. I don't have the numbers, but I can't imagine he's done much more against lefties since his arrival than anyone else on the team. I guess it's a wash between him and Murton though, and if it's what it takes to keep Floyd from getting as many starts, then I guess it's the lesser of two evils.
