Cubs send Jason Marquis to the hill to try and take 2 of 3 from the NL West division leaders for a successful four and two roadtrip.

 

They will be facing Yusmeiro Petit, who, to the shock of no one, shut down the Cubs in his one previous start.

Winning this series would be nice.

 

Apparently too much to ask for after taking the first game.

 

It seems like we always are pretty good at taking the first (or the first two in a four game set) game(s) and still struggle to win the series.

 

Darn Cubs.

 

If we're lucky, (and we're not) a Marquis- Petit match up should mean a shoot out.

 

Since we're not lucky, it means we're gonna be blown out.

i haven't posted in a game thread in a while

 

 

hopefully i bring some good mojo...my shifter went in my car yesterday...and the cubs lost...i need some good cub mojo to make me at least smile a little bit since i am sort of in a stinky pickle right now
