Comparing the Saints "love" to their sycophantic behavior toward the Red Sox and especially the Yankees, is absurd.

agreed, and the Saints "love" only came about in the wake of a) Reggie Bush and b) Hurricane Katrina.

and c) the Saints' success in 06. Definitely a flash in the pan, hardly worth being grouped in the same class as the Yanks, Red Sox, and imbicilic analysts.

What about Kobe/the Lakers? Duke?

The Kobe fascination lasted maybe a week. Nothing was heard about him until the recent team USA things.

With Kobe I'm referring to the whole demanding a trade and retracting it soap opera. The last couple years when the Lakers have been mediocre there hasn't been more coverage on the Lakers than any other team unless Kobe went off for 50+ which is something ESPN would do for any superstar.

You should have put NFL preseason. At least Yankees, Red Sox and Bonds are real competition going on right now. If there anything more meaningless and more boring to watch that is more hyped than NFL preseason football.

If......... then?

Maybe I'm just not watching much, but I don't see the hype. They are hyping up the upcoming season, of course, but I don't see them hyping up preseason games specifically.

Yankees because it's been going on forever. The Redsox deserve the attention but Bonds does not.

Yeah, Barry. Come talk to me when you've hit your 1000th HR. Setting the all-time record isn't enough.

I would say the fact that they have lead sportscenter with highlights of preseason games. The have Monday night countdown for several hours leading up to preseason games. Most of there afternoon programing has already went almost 50% NFL. Really starting in July ESPN becomes the 2nd NFL network. I understand that NFL is for some reason the most popular sport. Comeon though we are still 2 1/2 weeks until the season starts. I like Baseball a lot but really dont care after the hotstove league until the last week of Spring Training. I certainly dont want to see Yankees spring training highlights over a real sporting event going on at the time.

Can we redo this poll to add Michael Vick coverage?

I can't wait until this guy is getting pounded in the rear from Bubba and we don't have to hear about plea agreements anymore.

Voted Yankees because of the favouritism and because the only baseball caps you ever see in Belgium are the ones of the yankees, worn by wannabe-Fred Dursts. I asked some guy why he was wearing a yankees-cap, and he said "who are the yankees?"
