Reasons to hate Ryan Braun:

1. he's a rookie and is better than every Cub hitter

2. he has a cocky face

3. he's a Brewer

4. he has more HRs then any Cub

5. He was called up in May (insult to #1 and 4)

man it would be nice if our system could just develop one hitter as good as braun, fielder or hart

What really hurt this team was the pitiful showing in Houston. There was no excuse to go get swept there. The Astros stink, and the Brewers should be beating them. If the Cubs had won their series there, they would have been in first place for the last several days, and still today, even with this garbage.

Hill has lost his composure. Early in the year everyone was talking about how Hill really found himself, reading some self help books, blah blah blah. Now he seems to be throwing stuff in the dugout every other game. It's too bad.

Combining with Hill's implosion, Lidge's impending implosion, Carroll's GS, Coors Field Umps, and a godawful bullpen, this is turning into the worst loss of the year.

Wuertz and Gallagher continue to show why a reliever was necessary at the deadline.

Please, this is nowhere near the worst loss of the year. It is a game where it got out of hand in the 6th inning. Overeacting because it appeared there was going to be a good chance to take a 1/2 game lead if they won, in a game where the Cubs never had a lead.

Exactly.

You knew we weren't going to hold down this offense in Coors all series, it was only a matter of time.

Hey, I'm shocked we won the first two games with the lineup we have out there...

im really pissed at lou guys.

dusty listened to his family when he spazed and got soft

lou is repeating that BS!

It really doesn't matter very much.

it does. attitude.

then whats the point of arguing ever. its in lous blood to get intense.

No it doesn't change anything whether Lou gets tossed there or not. It's not like the players will suddenly have a different perspective of him or attitude about the team.

Its just not like Lou to sit down and be calm about taking it up the rear.

Seriously, he's hitting THREE FORTY SIX!!!

Why does this keep happening to whatever team happens to pose the biggest threat to us in the division?

2004 - Tony Womack and Co.

2005 - Everybody on STL

2006 - Jeff Weaver

2007 - Ryan Braun and Corey Hart

This is really pissing me off.

Cubs lead 1-0

Ok, whatever, in a game where the Cubs didn't have a lead after the 1st inning. Same point, it's a loss that's it. I'd rather them lost like this then any more 4+ run leads blown in the 8th/9th inning.

Just gonna say that Rich Hill is really really dumb before I head out for the night. Not saying he's a bad pitcher. He's just a stupid one.

if rich is stupid having gone to U. of Michigan, then I don't want to know what the other guys on this team are like (most having not gone to college, and the Latin players didn't even finish their equivalent of high school)

Hey we have Patterson and Pie!

well soto homered once and fox homered thrice tonight... i guess we can be happy about that until they turn into busts at the big-league level

another bust in Ryan Gallagher....can't even get out of 1 inning. Way to go Cubs minor league system.

dude, he is not pitching against the royals

I'm not saying Hill is "dumb" but I know plenty of people who went to places like Michigan that are plenty book smart and that's about it. Aren't there more suicide attempts at schools that are harder to get into because of academics? In baseball (sports, business, etc) you need composure along with talent, and you don't necessarily learn it.

I think Ryan Braun goes to Barry Bonds' doctor.

Watch the Brewers will make the playoffs and Braun will go dead cold as the Brewers get swept.
