btw cubbiechris, how am i on crack? I said nothing incorrect there

You said the Pen is the # 1 issue. Unless I read you wrong.

with the fonz and ramirez back, it is

It's not. The offense is still the major issue and has been all year long.

I wouldn't go that far, the bullpen was a very significant issue early in the season when the Cubs lost AT LEAST 15 games probably more due to a failure to hold leads. I mean yes, you can say the offense could have scored more in those games but I just remember way too many leads slipping away in the 6th inning or later.

Right now, the bullpen doesn't bother me too much. Most of the bullpen's really bad outings seem to happen when the Cubs are losing anyways and the offense hasn't put any pressure on the other team. But I don't see nearly as many blown leads.

What is the ERA of the pen for the season? How does it compare to other NL teams?

3.89 bullpen ERA, 8th in the NL. A lot of that is due to the pitiful May the team had.

Just gonna say that Rich Hill is really really dumb before I head out for the night. Not saying he's a bad pitcher. He's just a stupid one.

if rich is stupid having gone to U. of Michigan, then I don't want to know what the other guys on this team are like (most having not gone to college, and the Latin players didn't even finish their equivalent of high school)

I'm not saying Hill is "dumb" but I know plenty of people who went to places like Michigan that are plenty book smart and that's about it. Aren't there more suicide attempts at schools that are harder to get into because of academics? In baseball (sports, business, etc) you need composure along with talent, and you don't necessarily learn it.

seriously??

no seriously. this is your arguement.

What argument? What are you reading into? Relax.
