I am not worried about Derrek if he is just in a slump... but something about him doesn't seem right on his swing... let's hope to god he doesn't have some back problem.

The Rockies announcers really pissed me off last night when they were criticizing Lou and Co. for batting Z (high socks!) last night. They were obviously just trying to have some fun after a horrible stretch and they're acting like Lou was just being crazy and taking too much of a risk.

 

Not only did they complain about him possibly injuring himself. But they said Lou should have given Patterson or someone else an at-bat.

 

Overall I like the Rockies announcers though!

 

It was a very dangerous move by Lou. It wasn't about having fun. It was about sparing a short bench. They already have just 5 active players, and with Ramirez not playing, there are just 4, with 1 being a catcher. So that leaves 3 guys. I don't know why he couldn't let one of them play.

Yeah, keep in mind they did little against Bucholtz; they spanked around an ineffective starter for 9 runs. It was nice to see some signs of life from the offense, but this is simply an anemic offense.

Oh there is... I have nothing to do during the week but sit on my balcony drinking beer and soaking up the sun.

 

The best part is that tonight I'll go out around 9pm and come back around 3:30am just in time for the Cubs game :)

Good. With current personnel, that's probably the best lineup we can throw out there.
