That was a poor call by the ump. That said, Pie has to protect the plate with two strikes and a runner in scoring positien.

I disagree he needs to work on plate discipline. It isn't his fault that umpire blew that call. I love how Marquis can't hit for us either.

 

Was it that far inside? I didn't get to see the replay.

Yeah it was way inside, a really bad call. But, it only changed the whole inning around. No big deal.

Pie has gotten called out on that strike low and inside time and time again though. It was one of his main problems in late June. It's not fair that the umps keep doing that, but at some point he has to adjust and start fighting those pitches off if they are going to keep calling it.

 

I think it would be pretty impossible to fight off a pitch that far inside.

Yeah I don't know what he could have done besides jumping into it.

Where was that 0-2 pitch on Tulowitzki (er, 1-2, whatever) - if gonna call that 3rd strike on Pie!!??

jennings with the lead now, proceeds to walk weeks in front of the milwaukee bats. That jason is why you never win in houston.

then he hits hart, garner is arguing hart jumped in the way. How can the guy who manages Biggio even argue that?
