Take notes Prior.

You want Prior to come back as a AAAA power hitting corner OFer?

I think he's saying that he wants Prior to have some balls. Ankiel's a great story, but probably won't pan out long term. Regardless, Ankiel has shown tremendous heart by coming back from his public humiliation, plus his crack-head of a father making life hell. Ankiel had a lot of excuses to quit, and nobody would/could blame him, but he still made it back to the show, and earned his way up.

Sure which mark Prior had that kind of heart.

You have to be kidding with that BS about Prior.

Prior broke bones in his elbow after getting hit with a batted ball and pitched one month later.

He ran into Marcus Giles, flipped over him, and landed directly on his throwing shoulder, and pitched the next inning.

He isn't lacking heart, and he's working hard to get back to where he was. Your statement about Prior's "heart" is possibly the most ridiculous thing I have ever read here.

Those Prior injuries are my fault anyway... I was at both of those games.

He broke his elbow on my birthday.

That was the last day of my senior year in highschool, too. And I broke my thumb that day in one of the more painful ways I can think of.

It was an eventful day =[

Save this post on your hard drive somewhere. Cause you're going to have to re-post it 25 times between now and next season. I know because I have already, and I just don't have the energy anymore.

ok guys it's almost gametime and ankiel will be hitting soon.

we all know that he will homer in his first at bat, thus resulting in the every person in the city of st louis having a collective orgasm, so there's no point i speculating on that. i say we all predict what field he will homer to.

my guess is directly over the opposite field (left) foul pole.

Up into Big Mac Land....they still have that at Busch III?

Yes, they do.

I want to see him face Hill/Marshall/Lilly, methinks that would be fun for all.

Actually, Ankiel has hit lefties better than righties at AAA all year. So, yes, it would likely be fun for all.

let's hope he gets hurt or something, it's going to be bad enough when the cardinals pass us as it is, the last thing i want to read about is rick fing ankiel leading the charge

Hmm...

What would the media play up more if the Cardinals moved into first place: Rick Ankiel's comeback or the Cardinal players doing it in the memory of Josh Hancock?

I'll go with the latter.

Why do you bat a guy who has no idea how to take a walk 2nd?

Do not question the genius of TLR!!

I'm guessing b/c if you put him in front of Pujols, the chances are the pitcher is going to throw strikes so as not to walk the guy hitting in front of Big Al. Of course, if the pitcher were smart, he'd throw a couple off the plate to see if Ankiel will swing anyway.

Ankiel is too deadly... an ex pitcher hitting 30+ homeruns... give me a break.
Don't forget, there was once an ex-pitcher that hit 60 home runs in a season and 714 in his career. I believe his name was George Herman something. :D
