Or Kerry Wood's HR in Game 7 of the NLCS.

Or Ramirez's grand slam in the 1st inning (which was a monster shot) down the left field line in game 4 of the 2003 NLCS.

These two are very close for me, and definitely above any of the original options.

Some of those HRs from the 2003 NLCS stand out to me as much (if not more) than those other HRs.

yessir. the sosa shot that hit the camera well in centerfield behind the bushes is my personal favorite.

from the options, Sandberg's vs the cards

Homer in the Gloaming has the most historical significance.

Personal preference, I'm going with Ernie's 500. Not only did 500 mean more than it does today, he did it on a team that was 10,000 kinds of awful for the totality of his career.

What about Neifi's slam against the Cards. Dude, he SAVED us!

Or Jason Dubois' HR on the last game of the 2004 season (playing for Sosa). This paved the way for Sosa to be traded, Dubois to get the vacant OF spot and voila, a HOF career begins!

he tripled too

My favorite might be Sammy's NLCS camera well shot, mainly because of Kenny Lofton's reaction.

Had to be Matthew Howell against our archrivals the Orioles. Next time up he had a triple to complete the cycle. *

Among the choices, I said the Sandberg game since it happened during the best season I've ever had as a Cub fan and it was twice and it was against Bruce Sutter twice and I hate the Cards and I hated Willie McGee.

Yeah, that one was amazing. You could literally read Lofton's lips. Something along the lines of "Oh "

Babe Ruth's called shot. Is that apart of Cubs history? He was facing them.

Myth.

Could be. But I doubt it.

Link? i remember being at a bar that night and freaking out when he hit it, thus missing loftons reaction. it'd be nice to see, though.

True, he did pretty much tie up his trip to the HOF in that one year alone, but I still maintain that Neifi's best Cub moment came when he was still with Colorado.

It was WAY before my lifetime, but based on reading a lot about Cubs history I had to go with Hartnett's homer in the gloamin'. It propelled the Cubs to the World Series that year.

I chose that one as well, for the same reasons.
