I think the Cubs will be in 1st place at some point, I don't think they will be at the end of the season. I'm starting to get the creeping suspicion that the Cardinals are going to end up in 1st even with how horrible that team looks on paper. The Brewers and Cubs will both choke down the stretch and the Cards will steal the division and I'll puke.

I highly doubt that.

Just take a deep breath.

Look at who they play and who we play...

No one here actually believes the Cardinals can get back in this, do they? Did you watch us take two of three from them? It wasn't all that hard.

Well their team is horrible so the logical side of me doesn't believe it, but I still hate seeing them just 6 games off the pace knowing that any team can get hot for a month no matter how good or bad they are.

World Series title, 83 wins. Jeff Weaver and Anthony Reyes leading the way. They are in it. Unless you prefer burying your head in the sand.

This current team is worse than that 83 win team. A lot worse actually.

Yeah I know, but we will see. They are the luckiest team in professional sports.

August 1st.

*ahem*

I've been right all day today. Those of you that were in FlashChat/Game Threads in the first couple innings today know what I'm talking about.

Now let me just say, the Cubs of Chicago will win the NL Central & World Series in 2007.

And thats not generous. I really want to win the lottery.

The Cubs ARE the only team in the history of baseball to win the World Series in a year that ends in 07. History is in their corner bigtime, so you're not exactly going out on a limb there, are you??

I was convinced that 03 was our year because it was early in the century and we had a pitcher with an unusual number of fingers.

I like the 'Cubs always win in 07' theme better.

Glad I was wrong about this one.

Lets build our lead to a .5 game today and let the Brewers sweat it out tonight! Go Cubs!

Brewers play this afternoon.

Oh.

Well then here's to them watching the scoreboard too much. :D
