I can see the logic behind it in terms of getting the younger players playing time, but he does have 15 HR's and 70 RBI's. He has also mauled left-handed pitching this year. I'm sure they can get something in return for him.

 

If he is coming this cheap, Hendry has to make a move for him.

I can see this becoming a very poppular thread.

 

I can't believe that they would be relegated to simply releasing him. Worse comes to worst even if a team does not want him to touch the field defensively, he can provide a solid bat off the bench in a pinch hitting situation.

 

Maybe the Padres could use him. The Padres defintely came out on top in the Chris Young/Adrian Gonzalez trade. Maybe they can go back to the well.
