The Cubs were the road team and went ahead in the top of the inning. That hasn't happened here, so if it did rain and they couldn't play, the Reds would win 2-1. The home team gets a chance to come back if the visitors go ahead before the delay. Hence, the suspension.

Remember when we were all kinda bracing for the Cubs to cool down and return to the old Cubs but we were kinda hoping that it was for real. Well it might not be. Hill and Marquis are slumping, the offense can't hit, and we've hit 8 HRs in July, last in the league. Time to worry is now.

 

yeah, not a good stretch

 

the last two against AZ

 

barely beat Kip Wells

soundly beat Wainwright

couldn't do anything with Looper while Marquis got abused

 

and tonight.

they will delay the game, hopefully if they do that, the rain will stop after a couple hours. if after a couple and the forecast looks like crap, then this will suck.

Wow the rain and wind must have battted that down, I thought Phillips killed that. Edited by UMFan83
