I dont see how well Cliff plays RF has to do with how well Matt plays RF. Matt didnt play well in RF. Maybe hes better since getting starts in Iowa but in the majors he wasnt very good.

 

and if the cubs can live with floyd staggering around out there like he's got a wooden leg, i think they can live with murton.

Part of the reason a number of people were happy Murton got sent down was because he was defensively deficient in RF.

 

Thus far, Cliff Floyd hasn't shown himself to be a defensive upgrade over Murton.

And either is Floyd thats his point. People try saying Murton shouldnt be in RF cause he cant field, well Floyd continues to be put out there and he cant field either. So if you can live with Floyd out there you can live with Murton out there.

I have to agree, we need an OF'er. Jones had a couple of good games but I really doubt he's going to be someone we can rely on in the 2nd half, not to mention Floyd is an average hitter at best and can't field to save his life.
