it's a shame Aramis would never even be considered for a gold glove because of his struggles early in his career

For sure...he has improved SO much since we acquired him...

I'm not a huge fan of the sarcasm font, but it seems to be the norm in a number of forums, and it is pretty effective so there are no "are you being sarcastic?" posts for clarity, so I vote that it stays

Eh, I'd just say if you can't pull off sarcasm well enough to make it apparent to others you shouldn't use it. It takes away the point when you put a little "sarcasm alert." It's a trivial issue either way, I'm not bothered.

It can stay. I just refuse to use it.

keeping the ball down nicely so far... keep it up mr. hill

On another note, how funny is it that the announcer said Rich Aurilia is the type of guy who can help you win a championship? Or that he referred to Aurilia as "one of the veterans" on the Giants? Like the Giants have anyone who's not close to collecting social security.

Hey Jimbo, see that guy Omar Vizquel? Don't trade for him.

If you ever get a chance to wastch the games called by Kuiper and Krukow, you would think he was the greatest ss of all time.....even at his age today.

Absolutely horrible broadcasters.

Kuiper isn't bad and Krukow sounds like he's drunk all the time. They aren't great by any means but they're not that bad and usually pretty funny.

I don't like Kuiper, but he is better than Krukow. That being said I usually will switch games if there is another game on because I really don;t like listening to them. Unfortunately, many times the other game is Seattle and listening that broadcast even more taxing on my ears.

And after all, isn't that what really matters?

We don't need to dumb down the board.

He should win it this year. I can't imagine anyone's been better.

Not getting on base after being up 3-0 is slightly less annoying than giving up a hit up 0-2. Only slightly, though.

I never knew about this guy..Didnt kno he was a flamethrower

Pat just quoted some numbers from a start of his not too long ago against AZ - 7IP, 3H, 0R, 0BB, 12K. Apparently he at least has the potential to be a stud.

What worries me is that it's based so heavily on reputation. This year might start giving ARam the needed reputation, but I'm not sure if he'll get it this season.

It'll go to Wright.

It probably will, but it shouldn't. Aram is a way better fielder.

Amen to that. Gold glove goes based on reputation alone, and A-Ram will never be able to change his.

I know it's only five starts but look at his AAA stats this year

5 GS, 31 IP, 1 R, 0.29 ERA, 46 K, 11 BB

Kid's got serious heat.... Just hoping he'll start walking some guys.

He's my favorite young pitcher in baseball. THAT is how you use mechanics to get everything you can out of your body!

Kid's going to be absolutely nasty once he figures things out. He and Cain will make quite the 1-2 punch come 2009.

His starts seem to either be really good or really bad. When his control is on look out. If it's off, he can be really wild and a patient team will take advantage like Milwaukee did a few weeks back.
