Dear Lou,

Plz start Pie.

TY much,

CT

If Lou is wanting to keep Pie's confidence up like he claims, he's not going to throw him back into the lineup against a left-hander where Pie is going to have an almost certain 0-4. The only chance for Pie to start before the break is tomorrow.

Ugh....I will be at the White Sox game for a bachelor party. Kill me now.

 Wow that sucks. Looks like you'll have a lot of scoreboard watching to do! :)

Wow.

Yinz guys aint up on the Buccos N'at lately, I see.

Bay is in a funk. Mahalom is on a Roll (look at his last 8 starts). LaRoch is having an MVP week. Doumit is on fire. Even Jack Wilson has been hittin a bit lateley.

I was hoping we could borrow Mackowiack for the weekend.

And no mention of Freddy? Nady?

The other two pitchers you'll see are John VavB. and Shane Youman. VanB has done some decent work in his three starts, Youman in his one. (Youman did OK in the first game of the Brewers series, which we lost. He left after 6 with a 3-3 tie)

This should be some pretty good baseball, actually, base on the way the two teams are playing.

Before the Brewers series, we didn't care too much about the Pirates.

My g/f's dad and stepmom are coming into Chicago for the weekend. Going to the top of the Hancock for drinks and then the Chicago Chophouse for dinner. Should be a good meal, but it's coming at the expense of watching the Cubs. :x

The Cubs offense needs to get on a roll. Only 12 runs in the 4 game series vs. Washington. If we want to win this series, we are going to have to do better then 3 RPG

I'll be more worried about the offense if they don't have a pretty good weekend here. RFK turned some of their home runs into outs, and that really hurt the offense (Ward and Soriano's balls last night are good examples of that). The Cubs haven't hit a home run since Ramirez's walk off shot a week ago-PNC park should hopefully change that a bit.

During times the Cubs are actually enjoying success and making a push for division/WC:

watching the Cubs and eating ramen/mac n cheese > missing the Cubs for a good steak dinner

Actually, for us vegetarians, that's true no matter how good the Cubs are. :P

Jerk. Okay, for you vegetarians, substitute steak with super fancy pasta joint or Indian food restaurant or whatever is trendy for you people and it still holds true.
