2 of 3 is definitely a must, but that doesn't mean the season won't be over for which ever day the loss comes. Cubs should just make things easier and finish the season with about 120 wins.

yeah.... I remember when we got the news about General Custer out there in injun country....... we had the day off, but we were still basking in the glow of the White Stockings 16-2 victory over the New York Mutuals the day before. Al Spaulding got the win... raised his record to 22-4 !! Ah, those were the days !!!

Al Spaulding...good ole byron pride there...we got a museum for him right next to our church and about 8 bars haha

My g/f's dad and stepmom are coming into Chicago for the weekend. Going to the top of the Hancock for drinks and then the Chicago Chophouse for dinner. Should be a good meal, but it's coming at the expense of watching the Cubs. :x

During times the Cubs are actually enjoying success and making a push for division/WC:

 

watching the Cubs and eating ramen/mac n cheese > missing the Cubs for a good steak dinner

 

Depends on how cute his girlfriend is. :D

the Cubs hit three HRs off of him the one time they faced Maholm this year. Barrett had one of those. while I would have liked better against a guy with a 5.51 ERA coming in, I certainly wouldn't consider Maholm's effort on May 10 an 'owning.'
