This is starting to become a pet peeve of mine. By all means rip Marlins "fans" to shreds for not supporting a team that's winning a world series, rip Braves fans to shreds for not selling out playoff games, but really, what the hell do you want out of Pirates and Royals supporters? Continue giving the worst owners in baseball their money despite not even putting up an attempt to go .500?

 

It sucks for Pirates and Royals fans, they've shown in the past to be great fans, but you can only be dumped on so many times before you say enough.

That's what's so amazing about the Pirates/Royals. They've been so awful the past decade and a half that their spectacular failure completely trumps our awful team's failures. We're failures for sure, but there always seems to be some other failure out there worse than ours whenever we go in the crapper. The problem is, whenever we've been in the crapper the past 15 yeras it's always the Pirates/Royals that have been down there to save us from being completely pathetic.

Agreed. I'd have a hard time actively rooting for and supporting a team that had no chance of winning every year. Even the Cubs make the playoffs once a while. The Royals and Pirates are small market teams with lousy management, not exactly a formula for success.

To the Royals credit they have some great young talent and have Dayton Moore in the organization now. I think they're at least trying to put a decent team on the field in the next few years.

This upsets me, one of our minor league teams not being supported. I do believe they need to develop the talent they have so they can trade it to us next year.

 

At least the buckos can still remember the last theme song when they won the WS. Nobody is alive that can remember ours.

I saw a clip on ESPN News and they acted like it didn't go as well as expected. I did see a line of people leaving.
