How many pitches has he thrown?

104. There's still a small chance at that number that Lou sends him out there another inning, although it's not as likely as if it were Z or Marquis.

Previous high was 110 back in early May. It would be quite a stretch to have him start another inning at this point.

Did anyone mention that Barrett is 0-1 with a K in his first start with the Padres? He is hitting 5th

Oh and a passed ball :)

The Padres should quickly realize that his defense is terrible and his bat is not enough to offset the PB's and mental lapses.

You disagree?

Absolutely.

ok. You win.

Actually, this is the best possible responce because I really didn't want to get into it. Let's dance!

Is there really any doubt we're not going to score anymore? It's just a question of how long it takes for them to do it.

Not reading this whole thread, so sorry if this has been mentioned already. The box score shows Barrett off to a rousing start at the new home.

0-2, 2 K's...and a PB.

Is there any chance Lee hits 15 homers this year, or is that asking for too much?

On pace for 14, I think he might flirt with 18 or 19.

Whish really isn't the kind of production we need out of a 14 million dollar a year first basemen. He better keep the OBP way up.

Well, he's still hitting the ball well. I'd like to think that he will continue to regain strength in the wrist as the year continues. I think he will get to 20 eventually (or close). Back when he was with Florida, he put up better second half power numbers too if i'm remembering right. In any case, I'm still happy with the OPS and RBI figures. And with Aaramis back and providing power, I think we can live with Lee's non power. I can see him ending up with numbers similar to Drew with LA last year.

I doubt playing everyday will help him regain strenghth. He's been good overall, but I don't think they can live without getting more power from him. Any resurgence is likely going to see a resurgent Lee.
