Not for posters, as that gets too subjective, but for threads. Seems like some threads just become classics, and many older ones have been lost into the ether (Treeman's trade deadline thread, etc.)

Not sure what the selection process would be, but it would be fun to have a forum for the all time classics

Interesting idea. If something like that were done, I'd want to have any thread placed in the "Hall of Fame" to be locked. For example, I think the 2003 game 6 thread would be a candidate, but I sure wouldn't want people posting in that again. I think it should be more of a "look but don't touch" kind of thing.

yes, absolutely. Like any good museum, it should be "look don't touch"

I'm not opposed to this, but I believe we discussed the idea before and decided not to as a community.

Or maybe that was just me and myself talking. :D

I like the idea as well. Id love to go back and see the thread of when Hoops broke Lee for Choi, and the 2003 playoff games as well

I'd quite like to see the threads that reported Macias and Neifi leaving the Cubs (especially Neifi)

Here is the Neifi thread:

It actually is a lot shorter than I thought it would be-I guess it was hard to get a long thread when everybody agreed. :D

If Zambrano starts, your in trouble.

Oops, wrong board. :D

Classic. I must have posted in that thread at least 600 times.

I like this idea too, but would some of the previously mentioned threads still be accessible?

I like this idea as well considering I wasn't around for some of the classic threads that are mentioned - namely the Nomar trade thread (I believe).

I think this is a fabulous idea. There are times I'd like to re-visit the Soriano signing thread again, but I'm way too lazy to look for it.

The Pierre thread where we discussed the pros and cons of the pornstache is one of my favorites.
