I love Z! And I know everyone here does too. So let's just sit around the campfire and tell stories of Z's awesomeness.

Some of my favorite Z moments:

-Getting Barry Bonds to line out weakly, right back to him, with the bases loaded, and then promptly going bazerk on the mound and pumping his fist.

-12 career Home Runs!

-Predicting 110-120 wins back in 2005(?)

-The fight yesterday, with his belt off looking like he was about to give someoen a whoopin'

-Yesterdays Post-game interview. Somoene asked him what he said to some of the Padres on the field during the altercation. He replied, "I didn't say nothing...I just went out there to separate...." as a huge smile came across his face and the whole room broke into laughter. Yeah..Separate...

In conclusion. Z is absolutely freakin' nuts and by the end of his career it's likely he'll have 3,000 wins, 800 HR, and 4 murder charges.

Been one of my favorite players for as long as I've followed the game. Right now its him and DLee (although Sean Marshall and Felix are making serious pushes).

Yesterday reminded me of one of my favorite Z games ever, when he brought a no-hitter into the 8th (I think) against the D-Backs in 03.

Probably the best thread ever.

Z's been one of my favorites for a few years now. After the Barrett incident I was pretty upset with him and said some things that I didn't mean. I love Zambrano.

One of my favorite memories was last year (I think) when he hustled down the line and beat out an infield single, then stole second a couple pitches after that.

And who can forget that HR in '03 against the Astros.

I also love that he was trying to take his belt off to hit people with yesterday.

Wasn't he dressing (changing his shirt) when the fight went down, and he was struggling to put his belt on?

I dunno. That makes more sense though.

Yeah, but it's much cooler if you pretend like that wasn't the case.

Exactly.

Yep one of the best moments of my "Cub fan life".

No doubt, Z was looking to whip Peavy.

So who wins in a fight Z or Chris Young? Even though Young is 6'10 the fact that Z is built like a bear and is nuts, I would have to take Z.

I would put my money on Z against anybody on this planet. He's just one of those guys that once you get his adrenaline going there's not much that can stop him.

That, and he's freakin' insane.

I'd like to see him against Ron Artest.

He'd Kill artest.

Of course, that's probably why you'd like to see him go against him.

I love Z and Artest helped destroy my Pacers, but no chance Z kills Artest. Artest is bigger, taller, crazier and learned how to box from his boxer/bouncer father. Artest is one of the very few non-fighting athletes I'd take over Z.

Zambrano 6-5 255 (cubs.com); Artest 6-7 260 (nba.com/kings). Not too big a difference, but Arest is bigger and the height likely translates to a greater reach. Plus, while Zambrano is big, Artest is ripped. I haven't seen Z in a basketball tank-top, but something tells me he doesn't look like Artest does.

As much as I like Z, I think Artest would take him.

I was going to post this as a moment too. Although, he really shouldn't have even been hitting in that spot of the game, it worked out wonderfully and I went crazy.
