I have been told that the Sox have decided to let go Mike Macdougal. He has no options so he would have to clear waivers or be traded. Hendry has been linked to him in the past. I could see Hendry picking him up if those rumors are really true.

 

EDIT: He has one option left.

If the Cubs were able to dump Jones off on the White Sox and not pick up any salary I would gamble on Macdougal plus we get more Murton and Pie and get some payroll room in the process anything Macdougal gives us is gravy.

I'm not a huge fan of MacDougal. His control problems are a major cause for concern. You think Ohman's "30-40 foot curveballs" drove Lou nuts? If MacDougal was on this team, Lou would have a heart attack.

I'm a fan of AL pitchers moving to the NL...I'd try it. Plus it gets rid of Jones.
