Holy Cow. What are the ramifications of this? This team is disintegrating before our eyes.

 

It shouldn't really be a surprise. The whole team is lousy, and it makes everyone defensive and wanting to show that they have individually been doing their part at least. It's time to forfeit the season.

 

At the very least, it's time to trade both.

I am genuinely excited for the possibilities. Going into the commercial break I was bummed, but I've had a smile on my face since the fight.

 

I share your excitement but mine is somewhat tempered by the fact that I don't truly believe anything good will come of this.

It is sad, but I was hoping to see Barrett fight back. Z needs his arse kicked.

 

Z is done as a Cub soon. I think his non signing was a blessing in disguise.

 

Funny how I have gone from loving Z to wanting him to just go away in the span of a couple months.

Get rid of the guest announcer of the stretch. Normally I put up with grudgingly, but I'm pissed off today, and having a Notre Dame player sing is certainly not going to put me in a better mood.

i wouldn't mind seeing this team just be totally awful for a while if they're going to be this much fun to watch everyday.

Seriously, how much worse can it get? Good thing I'm leaving the country and will be gone for 2.5 weeks. I used to wonder how I would keep up with the Cubs, now I'm looking forward to being away from this for a while.

I hope Z is traded by midnight, and Barrett is dealt soon therafter. Barrett is one of the dumbest baseball players I've ever seen. He's a terrible catcher, and if he can't hit he's worthless.
