What the hell got into Zambrano, Barrett just looks like he's trying to calm him down and explain what's going on and Z just swings at him. Trade his ass.

 

EDIT: Now taking a look at it again, it looks like Barrett took the first swing. Trade both of their asses!

Zambrano has always acted like this to an extent. Whether it was striking out Bonds and acting like he just slayed a dragon or something, or having the same reaction in a meaningless inning. I always thought it was a little over the top.

freeze it just as it goes from 10-11. Barrett is clearly putting his hands on Z first. Z is pushed back, and then comes forward. It's blatant. I didn't see it the first time.

I'd be pissed if I was Zambrano too. His defense let him down all friggin' day.

 

He didn't help with no Ks, but his defense really let him down.

 

Although it really looks like Zambrano started the fighting.

I don't see it. Trying to quickly view it at work so I'm probably just missed it, though. They are both stupid. Zambrano shouldn't be complaining about the play of anyone else. He's been a batting practice pitcher this year.

Very true. I just think Chip was doing a bad job blaming it all on Z. It was 2 immature morons fighting.

 

Remember, Barrett argued with Lou after getting picked off. He wasn't saying, "I'm wrong" he was clearly arguing with Lou as if it wasn't his fault for getting picked off.

 

I would not be surprised if Barrett takes the brunt of the fallout.

If Sammy Sosa couldn't leave the park on his day off, then Z shouldn't be able to leave in the middle of a game.

 

Of course, none of us have any idea what went on in the clubhouse between Z and Barrett.

I can see that happening, simply because Z is theoretically more important to any hope the Cubs have of contending and because Barrett has a history of this kind of crap since 2004.
