Heard from one of my buddies that the fight continued in the clubhouse.. that's why Piniella and Rothschild went down there/why Barrett is out.

Barrett was still on the bench when Z went into the clubhouse. I think Z went down and trashed the place. They probably went down to calm him.

Braves announcers say Z left Wrigley.

Absolutely unacceptable.

Z's days as a Cub are clearly numbered.

As this point, I'd like to see him shipped to first taker for some prospects and Guzman moved into the rotation. Barrett, on the other hand, I'd take a bucket of baseballs for him - used even.

Can anyone here really imagine Barrett will continue to struggle like this all season?

Again, for what it's worth, in 2002 there was a very public fight between Barry Bonds and Jeff Kent.

The Giants record before that fight was 42-34, a .553 winning percentage.

The record after the fight was 53-32, a .624 winning percentage.

break your wrist next time, please, scott

With our luck, DLee is probably one that hurt something on that play.

That's what I was talking about. I've seen it in replays, but I never knew when, and why it happened.

Why did it happen?

Though it is encouraging.

Hahahaha, on ESPN 1000, they just played the Cubs radio commercial with Barrett talking up Zambrano on how great he is.

They seemed pretty good friends with each other. I remember times Barrett gave Z pep talks before games in 2004.

Because Bonds and Kent hated each other? Though I think in particular Jeff Kent was yelling at David Bell.

I know there were others that happened, and supposedly one or two huge fights, but this one was caught on camera and presumably forced the manager and players to go through the same scrutiny that will follow this one.
