There are so few elements of a good team on teh Cubs this year.

Lee, Ramirez, Barrett (I guess), Hill.

Barrett? No. But you can add Marquis, Lilly, Theriot...

Barrett doesn't deserve to be listed on there. Can the guy have a 4 pitch AB? Ever?

And Soriano, who's going to have a very good OPS after today's game.

Now barrett gets a hit...

Yeah and think if on full counts lee and ramirez would have taken the walks. But, hey that's how you get back into these type games.

Lee and Ramirez really worked the counts in those AB's. Not much to complain about.

Yeah, but they both could have walked. Both pitches they swung at were balls. Solo homers do no really help much at this point.

I feel a sweep coming on here.

so, this season looks like it could quite possibly be a wash

now, there is the sale of the team...i only hope things don't get worse during new ownership

can hendry be fired after this season?

i guess it is fitting that the cubs won't win jack under his dominion...

bears - heartbreak

bulls - didn't expect them to do much in the playoffs...so...not biggie...

cubs - make me want to cry...seriously

It's still early and I could be wrong, but I cannpt believe that anyone thought this team would be good this year. They needed OBP and they got another hacker. They needed a CFer and they got two LFers. It's typical Cubs.

On the bright side (for me), I wanted to take a day of leave to go to Philly to see the game today. Luckily, I couldn't get the time off. I would have been really bummed if I watched it in person.

I do have tickets for Cubs-Nats July 3 and 4. I'm not worried about those games at all.

At least you can expect all of them to be .500+ish

I was pretty heartbroken with the Bears season, but they at least went further than I ever could have imagined. I still can't realy even wrap my head around the fact that they were in the Superbowl.

Bulls kinda dissapointed me on the last day of the season and lost the inside track towards the Eastern Conference Championship, but at least they laid the beatdown on the Heat. We all knew this year wasn't a championship team. Lets wait for the draft.

The Cubs...well we still have a ways to go. Looks like the pitching is coming back down to Earth though.

What's Hill's new ERA after today?

2.51

eww.

Haha, pretty funny when 2.51 is "eww."

but I agree, it is very un-"Rich Hill like". :P
