*yawn*

This has been one of the most exciting drafts I've ever watched. All of the trades just keep making it more and more interesting.

Stanton's workout was apparently horrid. Looks like Martz will have his work cut out for him.

And by the time Stanton is ready to get in the lineup. Martz will bolt for a better job. haaha

Antonio Pitman is still on the board, some team is gonna get great value when they draft him.

I wouldn't mind him on the Bears, but we have more pressing needs.

We'll find the next Adrian Peterson in the 6th round or something.

I'm hearing that the Packers are really interesting in him with theirs 2nd round pick.

He'd fit perfectly into our zone-blocking scheme. I think he would be a solid pick.

Any good WRs available? The Titans need one

Jason Hill is my favorite one left, but there's also Steve Smith, Johnnie Lee Higgins, Aundrae Allison, and Paul Williams.

How long does an NFL team control a player's rights? The reason I ask is, if you were an NFL team, would you pick Jeff Samardzija (probably a second round talent) with a 6th or 7th round pick if you controlled his rights in case he flamed out with the Cubs, or just decided he wanted to play football instead)?

You control his rights up until the next year's draft I believe. The Cowboys didn't trade for Henson's rights until day before the draft IIRC.

Texans did that with Drew Henson. I think its only 1 year unless you give him a contract. if you dont give a contract i think he is FA after the first year.
