Chargers message board talk. Pretty unanimous that they gave up too much but dont mind so much because they still have some middle round picks available and with all these picks before the trade they didnt need that much depth to start with.

The worst mistake a football team can make is to sit on their hands and say " We are happy with our team, we don't need to improve"

All I know is I waited 6 hours for the first Bears pick...and I got 20 more picks to go for the second.

Oh well. Sigh.

They only have so many roster spots.

...You honestly believe that they can't draft people that can at least take back up or practice squad spots??

Wait. Don't we still have like 7 picks left now? How is it sitting on our hands by acquiring more players than we would have before?

Looks like Drew Stanton is going to Detroit

Nice. Now all his MSU drinking buddies can move in with him in Detroit. Good luck with that one.

Possibly, they have a pretty talented team. Perhaps Eric Weddle was the only player left they felt could make an impact for them. Maybe they are worried about cap space. Hording picks is nice but sometimes you have to go get "your guy".

Oh no doubt, and the perceived notion that this draft isn't that deep.

But every draft is deep with Angelo. 8-)

i liked beck and would've been happy if the eagles picked him... but again, with the offense that we've built over the past ten years, I'll give Reid a chance. Lord knows he would've taken Beck if he really liked him.

Gotta take that one on faith I guess. I have a hard time believing Kolb was the best QB in the draft for the early 2nd round. Maybe he'll prove me wrong.

I've seen Kolb play quite a bit. He's got a good arm and is good on the move, but I think he's a system QB.

everybody looks like a system quarterback in a system

He has played in the same system since high school (Houston-Northshore). His adjustment to the NFL will take longer than most people will think.

Great Stanton to Detroit. Do you know how much crap im going to hear about him being the QB. By week 5 there will be cries to 'start drew'. It was humorouss with Orlsucky talk or whatever his name is. Stanton talk will be amped up 10 times compared to him. Edited by cubweiser03

He's a huge reach, terribly inaccurate, has a drinking problem which almost cost him his starting job in college. I'm not sure what Detroit is thinking with this pick.

Keyshawn: "I'm gonna teach him....I'm gonna teach him...blah blah blah"

I think the "me" count from after this pick alone is up to 4. "I" is up there, too.
